The National Museum of Kazakhstan is going to hold a personal exhibition of the Honored National Artist and the Kazakhstan State Prize laureate Erbolat Tolepbai. The event will take place on June 6 – July 10. The exhibition will feature artistic works E. Tolepbai made in different periods of his professional life. The peculiar style of Y. Tolepbay continues the line of the French post-impressionists. Bright colors, simple but expressive forms, plastic expressive images brings experiments Matisse and Kandinsky to mind. His paintings preserve the national character and harmony combining with European and Asian worldview. Ambiguous, philosophical and sometimes tragic context of his works come out through the development of traditional themes. The land and people of Kazakhstan, the steppe and the city, the past and the present, human’s love and responsibility for your own land are the main themes of the painter’s works. The artist's works are kept at the various places like Tretyakov State Gallery, Russian Federation’s state museums, A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts (Almaty), the regional museums of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in private collections of Kazakhstan, the CIS, Europe, America and Asia.
