From June 9 to September 10, 2017 the National museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will hold an exhibition from the Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s terracotta army museum. The aim of the exhibition is to acquaint visitors with the world art masterpieces – Qin Dynasty’s terracotta warriors which were made in 2010-2009 years BC and are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987. «Terracotta Army» - the name adopted for the burial place of 8099 full-size terracotta statues of Chinese warriors and their horses which are in the Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s mausoleum in Xian. The statues were discovered in 1974 by local peasants during the artesian well drilling to the east of Lishan Mountain. According to historical records, a year after the ascent to the throne in 246 BC, Qin Shi Huang began to build his tomb. By his intention, the statues should have accompanied him in the afterworld. Army of clay warriors rests in the military parallel vaults of 1.5 km. east of the emperor's tomb. The figures of warriors are the works of art, as they are individual handmade works prepared by the variety of techniques. Every single statue has its own unique features and even facial expression. The Exhibition will present about 50 archaeological items such as the statues of warriors, weapon items, tiles, dishes, gold and silver adornments
